Finally the computer is fixed (Thanks Taylor!) and there are new pictures of William on the site. My personal favorites are of William wearing his William and Mary outfit. (Thanks Auntie Maggie and Auntie Clarissa!) He clearly wants to go to W&M. I think we'll have to plan a trip down there this winter to show him the campus. I mean, it's never to early to plan for college.
William and I spent the weekend on the Cape and today in Boston. We were horrible about taking pictures but we had a great time. William loves visiting his Grandma Donna and Grandpa Mike! He also loves playing with Uncle Pat. As a special treat he also got to play with his cousin Kaylee. She is so beautiful and quite a talker! We fly home today and William can't wait to see his Daddy.
In other news William has been declared completely healthy by the cardiology department at Children's National so we don't have to go back for any more EKGs. He weights 14lbs 11ozs. Such a big boy! I can't believe how fast he's growing. This week I finally took the infant insert out of his car seat. Next thing you know we'll be switching car seats all toghether!

3 Months Old
Yesterday William was officially three months old. I can't believe how quickly time goes by and how quickly he's growing! Everyday he does something new. He's such a smiley baby too.
We celebrated yesterday by going to the H street festival with Chrissie and James who are in the area for a bike ride. William was a little sleepy but he had a great time. (And so did we! It was great to see you both!) He's so funny when we are out because he's so busy trying to look around everywhere that he doesn't get as goofy as he does at home. I was also excited that we could bring Sampson and Delilah because we haven't taken them on any outings lately. Hopefully this fall we can start bringing them to their playgroups too.
Since our computer is still down, I don't have any new pictures of William but here is one from the archives.

Rolling!
Today William officially rolled over all on his own. He's been doing a half roll from back to side for quite a while. He has also been doing the squirm and roll off my lap when we are sitting on the floor. When he was younger he also did a couple accidental rolls, but today, William was on his stomach, pushed himself onto one arm and rolled onto his back. It was a deliberate roll! I would have loved to catch this on camera but I was too afraid of startling him to move. Also, our hard drive died so we won't be able to upload pictures for quite a while.
Besides the monumental roll, William and I have just been hanging out laughing at each other this week. He is such a goof. Tomorrow we go to my friend Maggie's house for a play group with about 6 other babies-all friends William has been seeing since he was born. We can't wait.
I'll post pictures again when we (and by we I mean Taylor) figure out this hard drive problem!

William and his Cousins
I was reviewing photos of William (feeling nostalgic already for when he was tiny tiny) and realized that I never really posted about William meeting his cousins Kaylee and Scarlett.
Kaylee is only about two weeks older than William. She is so cute! Technically she's William's second cousin (she's my cousin). You can see them both here. Note that Kaylee is already asserting herself by bopping William the face!! She only looks dainty.
As I mentioned in a previous post, on the way back from the Cape we stopped at the May Family home to celebrate Scarlett's second birthday. They were also amazing to welcome us to stay with them that night even though they had to have been exhausted from throwing the party! Thanks Erin, Derrick, and Scarlett!
Scarlett took holding William's head up very seriously.
William is so lucky to have such great cousins! He can't wait to meet Brielle and soon the newest May addition!
Not at all cousin related but I love this picture of four generations of Chesniks!

Almost Three Months
I can't believe that William is almost three months old! My little baby is getting so big. We are at the end of his growth spurt and he's now unofficially 14.5 lbs and 25 inches long! His personality shows up more and more each day. He's so funny and he loves to laugh. He also loves to chew on anything he can get his hands on: his fist, my hair, his toys and blankies etc. It's pretty amusing to watch him try to stuff things in this mouth.
William is also discovering his voice. This has been both frustrating and fun. Frustrating because he has definite likes and dislikes now (though sometimes they seem to change daily) and he likes to tell you what he dislikes by screaming. Though it usually indicates a desire to eat or sleep there are times when we are baffled as to what he wants. But for every scream there are five giggles. He's hilarious when he's happy. In the mornings I get woken up by "Mmrrr. Mmrrr. Mmrrrr" coming from the monitor. When I go into his room he gives me a big smile and giggle!! Yesterday he actually said "GaGa" which everyone knows is baby for "Mom, I love you. You are the best!". The other night when Taylor was getting him ready for bed William managed to get his arms through his pajamas on his own. He was justifiably proud of himself and laughed and laughed. We'll try to post a video of him talking soon!
He has amazing head control. He sits up pretty much on his own for short periods of time. He'd do even better if he figured out how to put weight on his arm. He's been resisting that so far! He has also learned how to squirm. When he's sitting in my lap and he wants to move he'll arch his back and try to wiggle out of my arms. Scary but cute. He also loves to stand up. We've actually put him in his jumperoo for a few minutes every day. He doesn't quite get the point but he enjoys playing with the toys on the horse. I really think that in just a few short months he'll be pulling himself up and starting to walk. My kid wants to move!
